your other ride...
snowmobiles are flippin crazy fast.. but they are a blast. Ever see them race them on lakes? They go so fast that they hydroplane across the water and they can steer with the skis on the front.... until you stop and it sinks to the bottom...
Yea, you steer just like you are in the deep powder... Not enough lakes here to ever try that, and Im not sinkin that much money in the bottom of a half frozen pond just to look cool
Well, I'd try it if it wasnt my sled, and it wasnt that deep of a lake.

LordVngr,
That is one cool looking sporster. I always wondered how a roadster would look with a bobtail -- looks great! Of all the Harleys, I think the sporster is the best looking. Too bad it's a girls bike [sm=smiley36.gif] --- Just kidding. I know guys that ride Sportsters love to hear that.

Have y'all ever noticed that Lord Vngr is one that has never complained about the vibrations on the KLX?
I wonder why that is?

Well, I tried to post pics of my other rides, but all my files are about 1000 kb's which is too large. So I'll just tell you about them for those of you who care. We just bought a 2006 Ford Fusion SE V6 in black/black leather. I traded my '04 Ram Hemi QC 4x4 in on it as the Fusion gets about 34 mpg compared to around 13 for the Dodge.
I also have a 2003 100th Anniversary Sportster in very rare Luxury Blue Pearl with laced wheels. I say that because that year they only painted 5% of all bikes in the pearl blue, pearl red, and pearl white. The other 95% are either black, gunmetal blue, or two-tone silver/black. One quick way to tell is the former have a cleared over 100th anniv. sticker on the tank, the latter got a big gaudy medallion on the tanks with a stripe on each side.
The family hauler is a 2005 Grand Caravan SXT, love this thing as it's nice looking (for a minivan) and gets great mileage plus it's handy when it's just the wife and I out on a rare date, [sm=innoc.gif] as it has stow 'n go seats that fold down- FLAT.
My ride that's in storage is also somewhat of a classic and is in the same class as Bonafide's SVO Mustang, as they share the same engine 'cept for that the SVO has an intercooler on the turbo and more boost, although my ride is probably more rare than his SVO.
It's a 1984 Mercury Capri RS Turbo. This car is extremely rare and only came in one color combo- charcoal grey with two-tone silver and an orange stripe on the lower with blackout accents around headlights, grille, and hood scoop. You will probably never see a car like this as they are that rare. I don't know the official build numbers, but I've only seen 2 others in my whole life and I've looked all over the 'net.
Can't forget the '97 Mercury Mystique that's the daily commuter. This thing has 145000 miles on it and still runs like a sewing machine. It's a 4-banger thank god. That's it for me.

The Klx Vibrates ? I never knew.
Actually my 05 sporty is whats called rubber mounted. Harley went to rubber mounts in 04. Sitting at a light the motor vibrates just enough to let you know your on a harley But twist the wick and she smooths right out. Nothing like the solid mount sportsters dont you know...

Also where you at in Iowa. I was born in and spent my early days in a little town on the mississippi called Clinton Iowa. Man I miss those days. Nothing like a small town in the 60's to grow up in.
