Deej, the mesh screen does not stop a backfire, but stops the flame from lighting up the filter if there was a backfire.

If you read my post right I called it a backfire.......fire. Not a backfire. There's a difference. Hello? Hello? Anybody home? Huh? Think, McFly. Think! I gotta have time to get 'em retyped.
