No I didn't but it was considerably lighter than the stocker.

It is a deep sounding pipe. It makes the bike sound like a piped 600cc dirt bike, seriously. This is one mod you'll never forget about, because you can always hear it. To some that's a good thing, to some that's bad.

Did you buy the optional quiet insert for it?

No they want way too much for it. I have a different kind of insert here from a delkevic exhaust. I figured if it was too loud for me I'd try and mount it up somehow. From the vids I watched I thought the O sounded much better/deeper than the R, so I went with it.

Ya I bet it's along the same lines. Inexpensive and free-flowing.

Would the DG exhaust for a 2009 KLX also fit a 2007?

I believe I've seen that a Q4 for one model fit's the other as well but I'd like to know for sure before ordering.

Also, anyone have experience with the difference in db's with the insert?

I would but I didn't see one. I see them listed for the 250R/300R series like yours. I'm pretty sure I would need the 300 pipe to make that work. Unfortunately, the only ones shown for the 250S are for the 09-12 models. As per usual, the 06/07 is left out.

That's why I was asking if there was a difference in the 07 and 09's. IIRC some of the other aftermarket slipons work on both models.

I doubt it. The R model bikes (both 250 and 300) have a different headpipe than the S/SF series bikes. If it will fit your 300 then it will not fit my 250S.

That's why I'm looking for an apples/apples cross reference. Nothing is listed for the 06/07 S models.
