Default Why you should lube your bearings.

Since it rained yesterday i took the KLR apart. Planned on riding it.





Where do all these parts go again....






That doesnt look good.....

That doesn't look very good... Based on the pitted shaft, it looks like water was getting past the seals. :-( Did you replace them, or just grease the bee-junior out of it?

New parts on the way. Both bearings, shaft and seals.

ouch, kinda reminds me i have only lubed the bearings once, need to go threw and replace them all by now sence the bike has 20K+ hard riden miles. changing the suspension oil should be in order too.

Yea im going to do the fork oil soon also.

Time to clean the accumulated stuff off the top of the parts washer......

Yea my "notsomechanicalyinclined" buddy had the job of scrubbing my chain....lol... already had it open. I love the parts washer, best thing ever.

It looks odd..... the swingarm is all nice and clean and the rest of the bike is filthy.... lol. Gonna have to go get it dirty again.
