Not all insurance. Didnt drop mine. I was halfway through the class and called to check, nope. They didnt discount anything. Since i already had my license i just didnt finish the class. If you already have your license the class is a joke.

I disagree. I've rode for years and picked up some very good pointers from the MSF class I attended.

To the OP's topic, in my state we can get a permit after passing a written exam. Riding is limited (day only, no freeway, no passenger, etc). The riding exam must be passed to receive endorsement. Passing the MSF class constitutes passing the riding exam.

To ride on Air Bases back in the day the USAF made you take the advanced MSF rider course. Even though I had already been licensed since the age of 16 the class was beneficial and helped me realize some things I could be doing different (bad habits). They paid for it and I got out of work for a couple days. The advanced course is not boring.

Get better insurance, its a safety course and should lower insurance rates the same way driving school does. If the beginner course was easy, go take the advanced course.
