see, deej's got the right idea. did 1000 miles in 4 days in november (to death valley, 2 170 mile plus days offroad, then the ride back. teamed up with a guy at chapperal motorsports, he did it on a tw200), definally plan on doing it again. i have to ask though, other than gas and water, what all did you bring. i tryed to bring only what i needed and it still seamed like to much.

Hey Magoo, Great contribution. I've saved it to my favorites for a future read. As far as the major thread goes, (IE Monkey Butt), I have an '07 and don't find the seat to be a problem for me. We usualy ride 60 to 70 miles in a days trail riding and over some rather tough stuff usually. I admit that a lot of that time is spent standing on the pegs to navigate those trails!! I sure can't see the need to spend major bucks on a better seat at this time. (Just my humble opinion though.)

i normally wear long johns (i get cold easy). i havent tryed riding shorts but i might one day. i have no problems with monkey butt so far.
