I am confused as I usually am====but when I click on this link http://www.kawasaki.com/DefaultFrame...HOWVEHTABS%3d1 ................which goes directly to a spec sheet for MY 06klx250s ===and under fuel tank capacity it plainly says 2.6 gallons===9.8litres=====Now I swear i read the 06 has a 1.9gallon tank====who'd like to show me the light? =========also they didnt what the valve adjust specs were either====I tried an 07 and it said the same 2.6 gallons =========

I have put almost 2 gallons in before (1.9x gals). But thats it, the engine was trying to die when I pulled up from running out of fuel.

How much is the reserve?
I got 90 miles on my 351 until the reserve.
Also, instead of a bigger tank, I bought a five gallon gas tank and fill up in my garage. Saves a lot extra trips to the pump.

My owner's manual (page 10) says the fuel capacity for an '06 is 7.5L (1.98 US gal).

Good gawd, who are they paying to write these manuals? The Service manual suppliment says 7.2L (1.9 US gal).

I tend to let the service manual take precedence, but who really knows for sure

On a side note, I babied my bike on the expressway today -cruised along mostly in 6th gear at 60mph or less with my 15T front sprocket- and traveled 120miles without hitting reserve. Pulled into the gas station and pumped-in 1.5 gal to fill'er up, so I had about 0.4 gal left...I believe reserve is at 0.3 gal. Gas mileage worked out to be over 80MPG!...That's scooter territory.

Normally I don't have the discipline to drive so slowly and accelerate so gradually, but I guess it was just one of those days. Don't try this at home folks...you don't have my carby..neener, neener, LOL!

That's exactly what I have been doing from almost day one. I have 2 of the 6 gal plastic jugs...huh huh huh he said jugs, and 4 of the 2 gal jugs. I don't have to go to the station but every 3 months. Of course my commute is less than 2 miles and the gas station is well...a full 2 miles from my house.
