Default What size of Kenda Trackmaster K760?

Husband's birthday coming up, want to pick up a set of Trackmaster k760 tires for his '09 250S. From what I found so far most are getting the 110/100-18 for the rear. What about the front? The stock I believe is 80/100-21 but I read somewhere that this seems skinnier so I'm not sure what size I should get for the front. Anybody running these? Thanks!

I don't care for the front TMII. I love the rear (100/100-18), but run a different tire up front cause the TMII doesn't feel quite right for me. It will tuck or wash without warning, and has been exactly like that on everybike I have tried it on. I normally run a Scorpion XC MS, or a Kenda 777f up front and have been very happy with both on and off road.

for me, ive found 110's to be better all around then 120's. this is after riding two diffrent tires in both sizes, plus both the 606's (120&130). 110 keeps the bike feeling light, were a 120 starts getting that boat feeling, and 130 is like a cruise ship (as far as the lean into a turn feels). also, it helps keep the rear a little lower for better high speed handling and less head shake. as far as fronts, from what ive read, the tmii sucks. chunks baddly, handles poor on and off road. im now running a trackmaster rear (had to give it another try before i go t63 forever), and wanted the kenda k777 to match it sence ive heard most people say its good, but i found it hard to find for a good price in general. went back to the tried and true dunlop 908ff. its a way better off road tire then the 606, and is just as good on the road.

Thanks. Just want to add that it's for 90% off road, rocks, mud, sand. I have a TW200 and I got a 110/100-18 on the front, I like it off road and have no problem on the road either. He likes the way it looks that's why I thought it would be a neat set for his bike. But any other advice would be great.

You're a good wife and quite a catch...got a sister?

Get the 110 k760 rear.....for the front the 760 is not great, I'd recommend getting either tire that buzztail recommended for the riding you do.

Oh, btw rockymountainatv offers free shipping if you spend $100 or more, perhaps you could get yourself a little sumthin too....just sayin

+1 on the sister, but she'd have to get along with Mrs. Buzztail

Try here for the best delivered pricing on the TMIIs and the 777f. I usually buy 2 rears and a front at a time. That way I know I'll have a fresh tire on deck. Also I like to run the 100/100-18 rear. Seems to be able to spin it up quicker, and I don't see any change in traction vs. a slightly bigger tire.

I have a 120...no problems. However, my tube just failed though. Have to get a new one of those after 5k miles.

The 100/100-18 will keep the bike with the same gearing. The 120 will raise the gearing which would be OK for the road but since you're mostly off-road keep the gearing low.

Thanks for all your help! Unfortunately my sister lives in London.. :-) I ordered the k760 for the rear in 110/100 (have tube for this size) and the Scorpion XC MX for the front. Got a Klim Baja pants and I got very jealous so I had to get some stuff for me too.. :-)
I know he's going to change the chain and the sprockets very soon. Thanks!

how does the width effect the gearing?
