What Footpegs Fit ?
I've got a set of Tusk wide footpegs on my KLR650 and they are quite nice for standing on most of the day.
Will the KLX300 footpegs fit the KLX250?
Will the KLX300 footpegs fit the KLX250?

Yes. I ordered some wider aftermarket pegs designed for the KLX300 I love them. Much more secure feeling since they are wider and stick out a little farther. The downside is in some tight deep ruts, narrow pegs do have an advantage.
