Its all about looking for the good deal and being ready to jump on it. I actually posted the info on the last two up here but no one was interested so I jumped on them. I only had the confidence to buy the 3rd becuase I have had so many offers to buy my bike or hers that I knew I could sell hers at $3000 min. Kawai is selling them for $7200 for the 2010 and $6800 for the 2009 here! Captive market unless you are know how to import here. I am curious what they go for new in Hawaii?
Cheers Jim

All you lucky guys NOT in the South West picking up those bikes for CHEAP! I looked every day for over six months and I NEVER saw a good deal on a 2009 here in AZ. Hence why I ended up buying new, oh well - I got to break it in how I wanted. No regrets.

The one I bought in Las Vegas was listed for the mid-3000's. I was selling a bike for the mid-2000's. I told the seller that if he decided he really needed to move the bike, I'd pay him what I was selling my other bike for. In a week, he sold it to me for the mid-2000's. It had 45 miles on it! Just too big for his wife....

So, deals are out there, you just have to keep looking.

All that said, by the time I put everything on it that I want (suspension, big bore, Cycras, Vibranators with bar-end weights, Dynojet kit, Bash plate, Thermo-Bob, new seat, new mirrors, HMF Quiet-Core slip on with Spark Arrestor, Giant Loop bag, new handlebars and grips, two new tires and tubes, Front Braided brake line, manual Cam chain adjuster), I'd have gotten an even better deal if I would have bought one I saw in St. George Utah for the lower 3000 range, that had most of those items done to it. But, I like fooling with the bike, so, I get enjoyment out of outfitting it.

Keep looking! There's a great one on the site right now that is nearly new!

Late to the thread, but I just picked one up on the Big Island for $3000. Not the easiest bike to find here used.

Lets see, I traded a 05 YFZ 450 for my 09 in 09 with 725 miles. Jetted and a full FMF[P-bomb and Q4].

There is a 2010 in Oak Harbor Wa. with 600 miles for $2800.00, if that helps. $4995.00 new at the bike shop for a 12.
