I plan on selling my 2010 klx250s. I’m the original owner. Bike has less than 10,000 miles. Sargent seat, FMF pipe, dynojet, UNI filter, literally brand new Shinko 705 tires, rear fender eliminator kit and wolfman side and rear bag. All original parts. Very few miles in the dirt. I have no idea what to ask. I see bikes around my year ranging between $2000 and $4500. What should I put it up for?
I didn't check Kelly Blue Book but from what I see in the pictures, I think $3,250.00 would be a very fair asking price. Obviously the bike has been well cared for by a enthusiastic owner who has added nice aftermarket goodies. Good luck with the sale.
What area you're in is a factor, but when I was looking those years were in the $2500 - $3250 range with the typical aftermarket addons. Higher is tough because there's so many bikes in the 3k-4k range and a new KLX isn't that pricey.
Have you done a valve check. That's valuable to people that need to pay a shop to do it, so if you did it at say 8,000 miles I'd note that in your ad and price higher in the range. If not assume that they're going to have to put that money into it.
Seasonality is also a factor. I know i picked up my 2018 klx camo for very near what you're asking just because no one here on the east coast wants to store something like that for the winter.
