just throwing it out there. people are bidding up to $3500 on a bone stock used one. I figure mine is a better deal with the expensive extras. Not dying to sell, but I'd really love a TE250 Husky.

You forgot to add that the big gun is the exhaust that adds the most horsepower for the bike. j/k good luck with the auction, but I am with JB1 you should have started the auction at a lower price.

why start low when you can always lower the price? you NEVER want to start too low as you can never raise the price after you start. like i said, i'm not desperate, just throwing it out there. mysteriously, i just got an offer for a trade on a 2005 TE250 Husky. I quickly declined as they are not street legal that year. he said my bike looked "sick".
I belive starting low has its advantages. It gets people caught up in the action of the auction. Starting at what you are looking for you have to count on that one or two people that want the bike right there and now for that price. When you start low you get a lot more people bidding on the item. An example is, i remember not to long ago a klx300 cylinder that went for like $250 or something and a post on here with people saying that a new one is only like $300+ from the dealer. The starting bid was probably only like $10 for that item but so many people starting started to bid when it was low and then got caught up in the auction that it went for $250+. You started the auction for your cylinder at $200 and no one bidded on it because no one thought it was worth it, where as if you had started it low you would had defenitly had people bidding on it and possibly got the $200-$250 you weree asking for it. If you are scared that you might not get what it is worht to you, that is what the reserve is for.

ps. getting caught up in a bidding passion on a $200 part is a lot different than a $4000 motorcycle. like I said, I'm not desperate. but if someone is looking for a used one, mine is a very good deal. YOU try buying a 2006 KLX 250 and adding the mods I have, along with a KLX 300 cylinder and see if you can get it for $3900. I bet you can't come close. I don't know if it will sell or not, but you know what? it's out there. I wonder who offered me their TE250? hmmmmmmmmmm..............

thanks man. it's not that i don't like the bike, it's just that i want more than what it can offer without investing hundreds to a thousand dollars into it. for me, doing that to a bike that is essentially 13 years old in design, is out of the question. I came close but I want the new bike of today. The KLX is a fun bike and does what it's asked to do superior. I just want a little more raw street legal bike.
Someone's selling brand new '06 CRF250X's on ebay for $4500. that's awfully tempting, but I don't know how hard it is to plate something like that in Iowa. Otherwise, I'd consider a new WR250.

They are selling every WR250 they can get here in Aus (they are street legal here). Mate if I was after an enduro bike personally for me I'd go a WR (if I could reach the ground that is lol). For what I want though the KLX is near perfect.
