Well, I installed the Acerbis tail light with license plate holder and I found the brake light to be really dim. You can only tell the brake is applied without the red lense cover. I accidently broke the original bulb that came with it so I used the bulb out of the factory tail light. Am I using the wrong bulb, or is something else wrong? I added a few inches of extra wire and it was slightly larger than the factory wire. You can see the filament for the brake light light up when the brake is applied, but it doesn't do much of anything compared to the tail light. I was certain I had the wires crossed so I swapped the wires and it caused the tail light to be not as bright, but it caused the brake light not to work at all. The factory light worked fine prior to me installing this one. I figured as long as the bulb had two contact points on the base that it would work. Any advice is appreciated.
