Default Versys test ride

Went for a test ride on a 2012 Versys and boy was it fun. Forgot how good these are.

I got to ride a friend's 2010 Versys a few months ago. Nice bike, but I didn't care for the sluggish turn-in. I would LOVE to have the Versys 1000 that's sold in Canada.

I am getting a road bike. I am not exactly sure what. I don't need a big bike for sure and I just don't really want a heavy bike to push around the garage and such. I mentioned a little CBR250r once on the forum...

I would hope that FUGLY headlight lights the road well!

I have thought about the SV650 since they are plentiful. I really putt around and my daily highway jaunts are 10-15 miles at most. Pretty easy going highway too.

I signed up for the Kawasaki Street days event. Looking forward to riding one. Also signed up for the KLR too.

I;ve had my 2011 Versys for close to two months now and really like it.

I down sized from a FJR 1300 to the Versys for a street ride. The V is a lot more practical for me. It's very agile, easy to push around and easier to ride slow.
With the KLX250S and the V I think I have the best of both worlds. I did own a '08 KLR, put 19,500 miles on it in two years, it was nice but much heavier to
pick up in the dirt. The V is a great sport bike with an up right seating position that is very comfortable.

I've ridden a few sport bikes and the seating position just doesn't make sense to me other than when on a track. On the streets, it's the right hand on the throttle and the left forearm on the gas tank. Always liked the older V-Max ride. Can't wait to try the Versys.

I have an '09 Versys, and put about 5500 miles on her last summer on a month-long trip to Alaska. Absolutley fantastic bike, and a great compliment to my '09 KLX250s.

I sat on one today at the dealer. I also sat on a Ninja 650. Both 2011. I liked the Versys a lot better. I just plain liked it. It feels lighter than I would have thought pushing/tipping. The Ninja felt like lead. They weight about the same.

I could do a Versys.

I rode the ninja a few years ago and I liked it apart from the wooden feeling brakes, however I love the Versys. Even though the V is a little tall for me.
