I noticed the so called city light was a T10 wedge bulb, seeing as I had a few T10 LED's about I decided to replace it. My reasons being the LED is a closer match colour wise to the headlights and of course being an LED they use less power and last a long time (far in excess to the incandescent bulb).
I had tried some cheapie T10's off ebay in a car parking light and they failed quickly, the current ones I have were advertised as suitable for parking lights ie they could handle the heat generated by the headlights. I have had a pair fitted since April in the car and so far so good so I ordered some more.
So only having had the bike for 4 days I wasn't sure how to go about it but nothing ventured nothing gained so I removed the side covers and fairings.

As it turned out I could have removed only one side but you get that.

We don't get city lights here in the US. Headlight is on when the bike is running only. While I understand the visibility reasons for having a headlight on all the time here in the states, what's the deal with the city lights? Google didn't provide any info for me.
