Ford's "quiet steel" is amazing. My pickup is quieter than my wife's Lincoln. I still miss the Chevy a little...
Ford doesnt make that any more...... it was too expensive.....[8D] FACT

So far the only thing i liked about my dodge better was that I could put 35" tires on stock with very little rubbing. My buddy has 33" on his chev and it rubs.

That Denali is mighty fine! Maybe next time...one more kid still at home...he's 19, he'll be leaving soon, right?...get rid of the kids, get the Denali...good idea...

If the price of gas goes much higher, I may even have to give up the KLX and get a horse.

the upscale thing is appearance, nothing else. like seat material, getting something on one and not the other. mechanically, you are correct, they are and have always been clones. hard to believe between the two they still can't outsell Ford trucks.
I was very seriously looking at a new ford but was talked out of it by my father in law. He runs a truck wholesale so gets to see first hand how different trucks last. I guess they've hadquite a bit of work to do on the fords they get in. "Fix Or Repair Daily" holds true in some cases .

Beautiful truck though, I like them alot. My next truck may be the new superduty they have. I'ts a new engine and such so probably best to wait a few years so they can figure it out.
not true in every case. the F150 is probably the best built vehicle coming out of any plant in the USA. They're safer than a tank in a crash and offer any convenience you could ever imagine. I still want a new Sierra though, they're sweet.
I too had 35's on my stock Ram 1500 and it looked like it had a lift kit on it. All I did was twist the torsion bars up a few inches and waalaa, instant 2" lift. It got like 12mpg, so off it went and along came the sweet Fusion, which, not to brag or nothing, but is a very nice car and built as tight as my wife's 15-year old body 19 years ago.
