Default Vacuum cap quality?

The girlie said that the klx was backfiring. Wondering what changed, all I remember was changing the spark plug recently. Looking at the exhaust system then the intake boots I noticed....air box rubber vacuum caps were cracking after 3 years. So I went down to auto zone and picked up the same chinese made ones I used before. But this time I have extras. Now I have an idea when to replace them. I wrapped the airbox inlets w/ electrical tape also incase I fail to catch this next time.

Get some vinyl ones. Those cheap neoprene rubber ones dont last worth crap. Mine barely lasted a year.
