Used parts???
Hi all, I just joined the forum. I need some parts for my 2007 KLX 250S and am hoping to find some used stuff. Parts needed are listed below. Let me know if you have any of them for sale or if there is a used parts yard that I can try.
Clutch Lever
Hand Guards
Chain Cover
Also need a device to lift the rear wheel up for maintenance and a rear trunk to carry my fishing gear. Suggestions are appreciated.
That's it for now...Thanks

i just use a motorcycle jack to get both my wheels up (lift stands might work, but haven't found one that was low enough for the klx250sf...not sure if it will work on the klx250s)...or, put the kickstand down...lean the bike towards the kickstand to lift the rear wheel off...get a sturdy box underneath and lift the bike on to it...i'm just a 145 lb. weakling and i can do it...

Jack, bike stand or a 5 gallon bucket, you don't need a chain guard unless your tempted to stick you foot in there to see what happends, and there are many old threads on hand guards and their install.
I'm still using the cheap Harbor Freight stand with good success. Lube it up first so parts move easy. Roll one or both tires up onto 2x4s first to get the bike up a little before slipping the stand underneath.
My bike is currently sitting on a milk crate with a 2"x6" on top of it.
The parts that you mentioned are generally parts that people only remove when they are broken or messed up. Clutch levers are pretty cheap, I replaced a bent one on my Ninja last year, it was like 7 dollars plus shipping. Hand guards, you may find somebody selling a set, otherwise, look at Rocky Mountain ATV's Tusk brand. They are pretty strong and inexpensive.

I have Tusk guards and bar. Some have difficulty installing guards in the stock bars, while others don't have much problem at all. The Tusk bars are apparently known for being weak, but mine have withstood a number of spills without issue.
I took a threaded rod through the axle bolt and used my pitbull rear sportbike stand to lift the rear.
I also slapped a seahorse case on the rear similar to deej.
Unfortunately my post sucks dead bear because I do not have pics.

Just picked up a scissor jack motor cycle stand on sale for $59 bucks at Princess Auto. Works real well but I will have to modify it just a little. The bike frame is basically sitting on a flat surface, a simple clamp will fix that problem
Harbor Freights jack works great, I got it for 29.99. it is good for up to 350 pounds. It is 34.99 at the link below. It goes on sale every couple of months.
