For those of you who had previously questioned adding this to your bike.Personally i would never add anything like this but do recall a post somewhere that a few mentioned that it would be nice to have a beeper as a turn signal reminder.
This one is darn loud and it should be very weather resistant if it is mounted face down (opening down).For the hookup all you have to do is connect it with 2 heat shrink spade connectors at your flasher.You want to use either wire (the flasher is only powered when the switch is activated) and just connect it as if another flasher was being installed.It's pretty darn small and can be zip tied out of the way.here are some pics and the part number.It is only a few $ and it's under 10$ i think...not sure on the price as i've never bought one.I grabbed this one from our parts inventory at work to photo it for you guys and then i returned it (i don't want one) ...bnut this is for the guys that were looking for one.
oh yeah...Your local Mack trucks parts place will have them.




I know they are huge but i don't know how to just make them "normal" size without wasting more of my time....

Hey Truckman & KLX_250 Rider, the above link will get you to "Bierdos'" EBay website with the info that I posted earlier for the "beeper/turn signal". I think his price is like less than $20, and it's a rather compact unit.

It is rated for a MAX of 16 volts i put it on a dead car battery in the shop that only had about 4 volts left in it and it was still plenty loud.
As for price these things are under 10$ so really all you need is this and two 2" pieces of 14 awg wire and 2 spade connectors...cheap and easy if you wanted one.

 

16V is the supplier number from Mack trucks not the voltage rating.

 

ahhhhhhhh...it fooled me.

 

I don't think the Mack unit will work by just hooking it to either wire on our flasher. For it tobeep with bothleft and right turn signals, without feeding aross, I think you will need diodes on each leg in a push-pull arrangement. Same arrangement as a full wave bridge rectifier.

 

It will work the way i described...we hook them up the same way in the trucks.One wire from the flasher out to the one post of the beeper and the other post of the beeper to the wire that would have hooked to the flasher out....Nothing high tech.
