Default Tube Storage

I took off my pellican case. Boy will I miss it. I then had NO waterproof storage for my camera, or phone. I measured 3" between the rack and signal lights, so I went and bought some 3" pvc. Not good, the fittings take up much more room and the pipe is 3" ID, so it was a NO go right from the start. I'm a weldor. I tried one of those rod storage containers and they fit well. They only come in red, orange or blue. I didn't like any color, so I painted an old one black. Not too exciting, so I bough two new blue ones and some florescent green paint. I screwed them to the rack with Stainless steel bolts, self locking nuts and a little clear silicone to keep the water out.

Can you SEE ME NOW?

Looks like a good solution. Can you buy those rod storage containers empty?
Price?
Thanks

These are smaller, but I use a couple of them on one of my bikes. Cheap too. They are the exact size to hold a one litre MSR fuel bottle. I suspect one or two will find its way to the KLX as well.

Talking

About $5.00 each, available at any welding supply store. Tractor supply and Homo Repo has them, but they are Orange.

Default what I did

I went with the manual storage tube from---
http://www.agrisupply.com/product.as...7670&sid=&eid=

sort of temporary untill I make a metal bracket, oak is durable

double zip ties untill I find a bracket

I like the way the MSR fuel bottle fits perfectly

I'll be finding out how they hold up in a crash if I want to or not.

Great systems guys but for me a bit of a fish hook if you ride tight tree single track. I thought to share, as another alternative for carrying fuel and other items the following. This is not "waterproof". So far i've used this on 50+ rides encountering 2 Evil get-offs and not a blown stitch.
Even with a neck brace, I don't notice it.
MSR bottles fit in both side pockets and the other five zippered pockets make it a no brainer. Great price for what you get.

I think Sheen may even use one to carry his !@#$ around.

Default new brackets

I found some nice tubing brackets and made a brace from some aluminum
flat stock. A lot sturdier than the previous.

Going out for a test ride today while the sun is out.

I believe the bottles i take are the 20 oz. About 10 inches to the top of the plastic lid or so? I don't have them with me but i know that it is not the super big one or super small. They fit completely in with zipper closed, zero bouncing or moving.
