Yes, me too. Plus only 6" travel suspension. Hey, the bike is exactly the same now as it was in 1987. Only changes were 2001, different carb, and front disk brake, and removed kickstart. The bike is still air cooled, but it is a work horse for sure. Comfy cruising speed is only 55mph with stock gearing, top speed around 68mph. Like a trials bike, it has it's purpose. And it's great for slow trail riding, snow, mud, and will climb hills that the KLX can't with ease. Used by ranchers, hunters, patrol, campers, etc, it's more of a utility bike. I will get another one when I'm older, mellow out riding, and unable to throw my leg over a normal sized Dual Sport. I would still have mine if I didn't ride with KTMs, WRRs, DRZs, etc. where I ride is sandy and loaded with deep whoops. So I needed decent suspension. Great bike for your kids, wife, or when you get old and slow down a bit. If I could afford 2 bikes, I would have never sold it. I do miss it with Winter coming up.

Yeah, hard to tell what that is, a toy hauler maybe? Yep, my TW was hanging off my bumper, but have a 5x8 enclosed for my beloved KLX pictured on first page.

Mine doesn't like sitting at a desk doing paper work. It ask me to put a wet bar in my trailer, top shelf oil on tap and a few bottles of chain lube and filter oil for an occasional shot. :eek::rolleyes:

I have had an aluminum hitch hauler for about 8 years. It made me nervous at first but have put 1000's of miles on it with no issue. Back and forth to CO. numerous times and many miles around here. One of the best things i have ever bought.

Hey Dan...long time no hear. Man, I gotta tell ya...from many years sleeping and camping in my van on these dirt bike trips, the toy hauler has definitely made life an absolute luxury for this past year or so. Utah last month was a hoot. Still wish you'd load up and meet up on one of those trips before I get too old to stay on my KLX...LOL!:D

Hey TNC, we would have a blast. I don't really have a great reason for not heading out there if you think of it in the "life is too short" frame of mind, but if you look at it in the every day hustle and bustle, i have to say i don't have the time or money to justify it. Just getting 3 other buddies on the same page to go do and enduro ride today was a feat, and then it just got cancelled because of way too much rain :( I have the Husky for the tight woods stuff but i still have the KLX, and after ridding it out in CO earlier this year it reminded me what great bike it is. the Husky has it beat in the woods but the Kawi is the better all around bike.

It depends on the trip... truck, truck/trailer, or truck/toyhauler depending on where we're going and what we're doing.

This little fold up trailer works pretty well. It has a solid axle so
it bounces around a bit. The previous owner transported a
Harley from Florida to here in Washington on it.
