Huh... Funny you should mention that.
I was just at Vedder on Sunday, and two guys were rollin out in I think it was a green toyota pickup, and one of them had GasGas in the back. Couldn't tell if one of them was a big asian, but they waved at me and my wife cuz we were pulled over on the way down, just before the exit onto Cultus Lk rd.

Thanks for the info! I'll prolly give him a shout - those Vapors are damn cool.

If you know the weight of the item and Trail Techs address you could get approximate shipping costs from the UPS website???

I think I saw you that day too. I was riding with Dave on Sunday at Vedder. I drove him in my Silver Dodge Ram Diesel. My bike is a Red Gas Gas and his bike is Blue/Black. I remember someone on a suped up KLX riding down the hill. When you pass I believe we (5 trucks) where the only onces left at the parking lot. We did wave at you and your wife on the way down the hill. You guys where pulled over half way down the hill. Next time I'll stop and say hi.

Dave

Maybe instead of ordering through trail tech get it through someone else that will ship to you. I'm not sure which online site sells them yet but I got mine through Gnarly Parts in Vancouver. If you wish I can asked them if they will ship to you. They actually sold me the Vapor for less than Trail Tech (I'm good friends with the owner)
YES please Dave Trail Tech quoted me $50 for postage ??????????? they really have no idea at all If Gnarly Parts take visa card I will order it asap. Do they have the mounts (protector) as well? I'm thinking about getting one of those too.

Thanks for your help Dave

cheers

Garry

$50 is about what FedEx Intl Economy should cost. USPS should be around $12 or less.

This is the answer I got from Trail Tech to my first enquiry

Gary,
I am terribly sorry however I have not seen any email from you in my in box. The information you have requested is as follows. The vapor by itself is around $40-$50 depending on your desired method of shipping. If you add a protector you are looking at another $6-$8. Again sorry for the delay!
Thanks,
Trail Tech

I answered them with this

Hi Trail Tech,

what about surface mail I'm sure it wouldn't cost anywhere near that much

regards

Garry

they answered

Gary,
We prefer to send with ups because if we do not we can not ensure that you will receive your shipment and we will have no way to track it!
Thanks,
Trail Tech

So I give up with Trail Tech, if Dave can get it for me I'll do that, otherwise I'll try another stockist in the states, one that knows how to send stuff to Oz

If that falls through, let me know and I'll help - have it shipped here and then I'll ship it on to you. I ship stuff all over the world on a regular basis. Only one lost package, and it eventually made its way back to me intact about six months later. [&:] But that's just one out of many hundreds - most get where they are supposed to go without incident. But it will be cheaper if you can get the distributer to ship directly to you since it'll cost shipping to get it to me first, and then more shipping to get it on to you, but still would be less than $50.

OK.. I just got of the phone with Dave at Gnarly Parts and he informed me that he is sold out of the Vapors. He's got more coming but Trail Tech is about 2-3 weeks behind filling backorders. If you can wait for him to get one then he can ship it to you via mail service. Cheapest being $14 (1-2 months) to overnight Puralotor being $128. I don't believe his site takes orders outside Canada/USA so I guess you will have to email him or call him. Not sure if his toll free number works over where you are but it's 1-866-346-2759.

Or goto his site and email him a message. www.gnarlyparts.com or www.gnarlyparts.ca

Good luck.
