Torque wrench

RE: Torque wrench
I have (3) torque wrenches, and use them regularly. It's hard to get it wrong if you follow the torque spec. I learned how to be a mechanic in the military, working missile maintenance. Every bolt on a missile gets torqued, so using a torque wrench just became a natural step when I work on anything. The Air Force also insisted that I wear my seatbelt, and I always buckle up...
It's easier to use the torque wrench than repair the stripped out screw (although I know how to do that too).

RE: Torque wrench
Don't waste your time with a torque wrench. Plugs (w/anti seize), oil plug, filter, etc. Take it hand tight then snug it up. It's worked for 20+ years everyday. Never had a come back doing it that way.
