you could have him get a cashiers checkmade to Honda Financial and meet him at Fed Ex or wherever you mail it from and he can watch you mail it off the Honda's address. This is what I did when I sold my 600RR. And they will mail it to him if you ask, but he'll still have to get you to sign it over when it arrives.

The only thing that I can think of to ease his mind is to give him a noterized bill of sale at the time of the transaction and offer him a signed "contract" stating your responsibilities to deliver the title in a timely maner. That way he has his assurance that he will receive the title, and if he doesn't recieve it he has some recourse.
I don't know if that will satisfy him but it's worth a try.

Download this application for title transfer and he can transfer the title when it arrives without the need for you to sign the title.

http://motor.etax.dor.ga.gov/forms/pdf/motor/mv-1.pdf

Then take him to the post office with you when you mail in the payoff so he can watch you send it off, many loan companies will mail the title directly to the new owner if you request.

If this won't work for the guy then find a real buyer.

More information can be found here on transferring a title in Georgia:

Thanks man, that was really good stuff. But at the bottom left of the page, what is the attorney-in-fact?? Does this part need to be filled out?
