Title transfer, HELP!!
I have a guy that wants to buy my my VTX 1300, seems like he thinks I'm a fraud though, lol
, he asked to see my bill of sale, current registration, latest billing statement- anything else officer?? Anyhow I sent him this information with all the personal stuff whited out, and he is still hard pressed to give me the money so that I can send it to honda and get the title. I called honda financial and there is no where to meet here in Ga. so that I can sign the title right in front of his face and give it to him when he gives me the money, I have to pay extra on top of what he gives me, otherwise I would have the title (duh). He is still searching for a way so that he can give me the money and I pass him the title on the spot. Any suggestions?? He has already been to my house, talked to my kids, met my wife, seen my bike, rode the bike, seen all the documents. Oh well, guess he is just worried that I will run off with the money and leave my family, house, architectural behind for $6,000.
. Kind of a pain in the *** since I basically have it sold, he just doesn't trust me. He's an older man of about 70 years old.
I told him verbatim what Bank of america, the DMV, and Honda financial told me on how to handle this, what else is there?? It will take 15 days for me to recieve the title, and he told me that hes worried if I die before the title comes for me to sign then he won't own the bike, Uhhhh
, damn, talk about being pessimistic, but I guess he just wants all his bases covered. What if he's the one that dies, hes 70.[/align] __________________

Sounds like he's dick'n around with you or, since he's 70, really cold feet! Put the bike on craigslist.com and you'll hopefully snag a more serious buyer without "issues"! Good luck!
Thanks niven, you've been a real help. Yup, the old 70 year old proffessor is scoping out my house to ambush me.
I am good at reading people, and I know that he is just trying to cover all his bases. I am just trying to figure out the best way of handling this transaction while making him feel comfortable. Any other suggetions, some suggestions that actually help me?
