RE: tires
Still running my stockers and they seem OK. Try using the search feature here, you'll find plenty of comments and opinions. Deej alone probably has a couple of hundred.......
And if it's a rainy day and you've nothing better do a similar search on pipes/exhaust systems. Oh boy, there's some funny stuff for you.

RE: tires
I would avoid the Dunlop 606 120mm rear. It works really well off road but, on heavily grooved streets it can be a bit scary. It seems really stiff so, it should have really good life on our lightweight rides.

RE: tires
My dad runs the Kenda TrackMaster II on his '06 DRZ-400S and he likes them alot. He says treadwear is average if you ride alot of roads (like we do) but its a great DOT-approved knobby. In MY opinion, it might be a bit aggressive for a true 50/50 tire. My stock D605s have done pretty well through the mud and dirt so far, haven't REALLY pushed them but they haven't let me down, either.
