Which Tires?
ok sounds like i may grab the 606 and see how that runs.. hopefully itll bite good enough in the loose stuff. i tend to prefer to be sideways WFO in the dirt.. the TK's were a blast in those conditions.
Brian, it seems to be able to take the corners quite well, never had a problem with any slippage no matter how far I leaned into it on the twisties.
I believe Brian is asking about sliding out in the dirt...
Yes, my 606's are OK, but not perfect in the mud - no comparison to the TM II tire that's for sure.
On the street they're fine - never had issues with cornering (but I don't push it either).

while doing a donut i find that the TM slides easier than anyother tire that i have had.... or trying to do a 180.... the tall side ***** like to slide... the 606 grabbed good actually
Really? Well I haven't actually ridden the TrakMaster II, but based on looks it seems like a typical MX tire.
In the past when I've put on a new MX tire on my bike (the ole CR125), it just hooks up like it's on rails in the woods.
But the 606's gave me no such pleasure when I mounted them - sure they were an improvement to the 603 - but nowhere close to what I remember a true MX tire feeling like. I'm surprised the TrakMaster II doesn't have that feel - maybe it's just those soupy mud holes you like to play in..??

My 606s are great in the dirt (and I've been riding a long time in the dirt) but since we don't have much mud here in the desert, don't know what to tell you there.
I am definitely going back to the 606 after the Kenda K270 is worn out. Hey Kathy isn't the desert just one good rain away from a mud bowl?
Hmmm riding where there is no mud, that sounds appealing for sure, but then again I hate dry sand more than wet mud. I guess I'm just a little weird huh? [8D] Don't answer that.

Sand will you give you a good workout but the silt will throw you over the handlebars. I doubt if even a week long rainstorm would turn the "concrete" like desert floor into mud, everything dries out in a matter of hours here. Nice way to keep your bike clean though Deej, just need a feather duster to keep it new looking!
