Default Tire change and loss of tube... can I still save it?

So I changed out my front tire and tube. On the first attempt I popped the tube. I got it on the second tire with no problems, didn't even break a sweat.

Now I have a tube with a very small hole in it. If I were to patch it would I still be good to use as a back up trail tube or should I just toss it? I know you can patch bike tires with no problems but I wasn't sure about dirt bike tires.

I have a tube with probably 4 patches on it. It's been on the tire over a year now.

Agree...a properly patched tube is pretty darned reliable.

My HD tube in the rear was 'vulcanised' nearly a year ago (nail hole) and is still going strong.

Looks like I will be breaking out the tire kit. One thing I am out of the glue sealer, what's a good replacement sealer?

I kind of like Camel, but I've used Victor brand of vulcanizing glue with equal success. Camel is availablle at lots of auto parts places, and Victor is usually available at WalMart.

I usually take the bicycle patch kit and it worked fine for me many times.
