Tire Bead..........???
Anyone here ever have any trouble trying to get a front tire's bead to sit correctly?
I've done this before and just got done doing the back tire flawlessly, but the new kenda front tire is not cooperating. The bead looks good except for a 6 inch area where it is recessed into the tire and wont come out. I've filled tire up to about 35psi and it wont come up, should I pump more air?
I've taken it apart two times now this morning and no good.
Maybe the tire itself is just bad!!!
Well, if anyone has any ideas....I'm all ears.
Therear Trakmaster looks good with the new chain and sprocket!!!

What Tony said. Windex works good too. Deflate it all the way, then squirt it around the rim/tire area to lube it up, and crank it back up to around 50 or so and it should seat into place. Then air it back down.
Yeah, I figured I should pump it up more.............gonna do that after I finish putting the tire back on.
Man, what a workout it is to change a tire 4 times manually in one morning!!!!!
These rim locks sure don't make things any easier[:@][:@]!!!
Thanks guys-
Dave
P.S.---I've heard some good and really bad reviews on these trakmasters...........hope I find out how GOOD they are.

+1 on that. dirt... great road..... not so much. don't go hot into a corner on the road. these things slide real easy. it's actually fun but if your not prepared for it it'll scare the crap outta you.
Put some soapy water around the bead add about 30 pounds of air then take a hard plastic or rubbermallet and pound the side of the tire. Hit it at an angle away from the rim and it should pop the bead out.

Little more pounding to go and she should be set all nice----Thanks guys
I always find my answers here.
By the way.....you guys running the kenda's,,,,How are the fronts? I hear negatives, but wanna hear what you guys think?
Dave
I recommend the same methods that are voiced here. Some soapy water along the edge of the rim and then once the tire is on and inflated then use a rubber mallet and work your way with firm, moderate taps ( avoiding the rim ) along the sidewall and it will help the bead work its way in place.
So far I've had to do it with every Kenda I've ever ran, front and rear alike. I just write it off to Kenda making the tires with some tight tolerances. Makes for a nice snug fit once its worked into place though.., a rubber mallet is the only thing I've found that works though, don't want to use a hammer or anything to solid or else you'll risk doing damage to the tire or worse yet, the rim.
