Default Time for some upgrades

I finally sold my dirt bike and its now time to make my klx more dirt worthy. I have been using on the road only. Tried it in the woods and wasn't impressed. Im looking for opinions on tires, pipe, air filter, rejet?, sprocket size. Any advice at all. Also ive seen some 250's with a different rear tail fender. Seems to be more straight, Where can I pick one up? I would like to lose everything on the rear fender except some small LED taillight and blinkers.

Any advice anyone has would be great.

13-45 gears will improve it tremendously. Muzzy pipe and jetting. Also put on some good DS tires. Get it set up and you'll love it. Oh and welcome to the forums in case I didn't say it yet.

tires......... TM2's, pipe...........Q4 slipn-on works fine.,jet kit............ dj jetkit for the klx300 is what you want, gearing.............. a kdx 47 tooth rear is a direct bolt on but you need a longer chain otherwise go with the 13/45. a pumper will get you something but the buy in is high($325) for the amount of performance you get. you should think about a vortex 1/4 turn throttle too. doesn't seem like much but I haven't heard a bad thing said about it yet. i love mine. that 'll do it for the motor. you should be thinking about the suspension at some point.

Like first or near the top of the list. I've heard too many people, myself included, say that they should have improved the suspesion (at least some stiffer fork springs) before most of the the ohter mods they made.

Forks are too soft on this bike.

If your looking for a pumper carb, I have one that I am willing to sell. It is a mikuni tm33/34 modified by Bill Blue. I also have a bunch of jets to go with it.

Asking 250.00. or Best Offer. Will ship any where you are so long as you pay for shipping.

Need the money to pay some bills. Santa Claus is coming soon. .

Didn't like the service from the dealer. Everytime I asked about something it was a HUUUUGE hassle for them to look it up. So I think im going to go with the TM2's by kenda and I looked on youtube at at two brothers exhaust and liked the sound. You can order right off there site for 369. Anyone with any experience with this pipe?
