Time for a new supermoto fender..

and a few other parts too.

I had a forest rat take my front wheel out and about 40mph. The KLX crashes a bit better then I do. Just a little of road rash and a nice gouge below the knee cap. It was a slow ride home but the little KLX did the job.

I believe it will be about $400.00 to $500.00 to get this thing back close to where it was. (mint) It nailed my pelican case but it survived just fine. (scuffed up)

The deer was running away from me when I saw it and before I could do anything it moved over and took my front wheel out. It was a small deer but big enough to inflict some pain.

I was just talking to my friends about how motorcyclist hate forest rats 1 hour earlier. [sm=outcold.gif]

Ouch! glad that the soreness will be minimal tomorrow for ya.
I would have used the tool in the pelican case and draped that little bugger home!

First and foremost, this is proof that a klx isn't an effective hunting device,Glad you didn't get hurt bud,a few scuffs and you rode home, better than an ambulance ride.:D

A mate of mine used to ride up beside kangaroos on a dirtbike and tap them on the head with a baseball bat with 12" nails hammered through it, made the bike a very effective hunting machine ;)

I was racing(GSXR 600)at Summit PointWV yesterday, from the third row got a decent start, hurtling down the 1/4 mile to turn one at 100mph. Suddenly I see hands fly up of the riders in front, I get off the gas and instinctively put my hand up, then I see why, a yearling (Forest rat:D) is standing, (middle of track)transfixed on the 30 odd riders flying in its direction. Luckily, the penny dropped and IGTFOOT. The race proceeded without further incident. I have heard horror stories of deer and rider incidents on the track, animals being split in two etc.

Yep,
them deer can wake you up!!!

Here is my fender that I had ordered 6 months ago and it never made it. I called the order in this time.
I found a on-line place for parts and ordered everything I needed. Without the pelican case, I believe $300.00 will bring it back up to top shape. Pretty good price compared to a sportbike wreck. [sm=smiley29.gif] If I can stay away from the doctors office it will be a total win on this one. Close to a win as I ever get.;)

Glad you’re going to be OK.
I just returned from a trip down the 101 (Astoria to San Francisco). The Oregon Coast is the most beautiful place in the lower 48 INHO. I can definitely see how those little deer could pose a serious problem, with the brush so thick off the road-side they are impossible to see until they step out in front of you. Saw more novice riders on new BMW’s (with full packs) then I ever could have imagined.

This was about 100 miles inland then the coast on Clackamas River Drive. I never thought to much about deer out there. (only bigfoot);)

I believe the fender will look just fine on my bike.
