The time has come….

I hear some good things about those over on ADV in the Rockies forum. I've only been around some of the Beta trials bikes that some of our club members have, and I know those are awesome trials machines. The folks who use them in the Rocky Mountain states seem to like theirs. Are you keeping the KLX as a street legal bike?

Hey Thad,
I will be able to plate this bike, and I will need to sell my KLX to help pay for the Beta. I hate to sell her.
Once I get the bike in my hot clammy hands I will let you guys know how it feels.
I will always be hanging in here though as I think this is the VERY BEST group of guys on any forum I have been a part of.
Now I just need to whip my sorry behind into some semblance of shape.

Are you going to pick up the 3.8 gallon tank for it?
We have one Beta Enduro dealer here in Idaho, it little 'ole Council (pop 840). Here's what they have to offer now:
2012 Beta 450 RR Super Buy
"Super Special buy 2012 American Beta 450RR BRAND NEW for $6800.00.
Excel rims, Sachs Suspension, Trail Tech computer, and so much more.
This is a steal at this price."
That's $2,200 less than MSRP.

Glad you plan on sticking around, i agree it is a great forum.
One of these days i may "upgrade?" I just wonder if I will miss the KLX when I do. Keep us posted for sure.

I talked to the guy at that shop about it. They price is a steal. I looked into plating it here myself but by the time I got back to him he had posted it sold. If it is still there you should buy it!!! do it do it do it….I bought mine through a dealer here, and he will import it, and get it plated for me, so that is a big pain in the **** I don't have to deal with, I got the bike for 7k plus 300 shipping, so I am happy with that. It has 600 miles on it. It was used in the 450 cc enduro shootout in Dirt Rider mag so it is already famous...
I am planning on being back down to Idaho next year to have another shot at the Tour of Idaho, so this time we will drink a few beers, so that I can acclimatize to the heat, and micro brews properly.
Go look at that bike in Council, it is only a short drive away….They are open late on Friday….Saturday would be good too…They take visa.
I will order the clark tank for it. but I think I will leave most everything else alone. It will have enough power for my old bones, I may tinker a bit with the lighting. I need to learn all about the FCR carb and other stuff.

Very jealous....traded bikes with a KTM 450 rider once and couldn't believe it. The 450cc class seems to have the right blend of power and weight, at least the top tier bikes. Made the klx feel like having a knife at a gunfight.
I can only hope that the arrival of my non-running KLX650R will keep me occupied enough, so I don't start looking for something like that.
That thing is SWEET.
Ride the snot out of it and report back with dirt pictures please. Tell us how much it sucks.
