What he said.. and I take my SF offroad too

ha ha ^^^^^^

Anyways, I have an 07 that has gone on many many trips and I still love it. The harder you beat on it, the happier it is.

Also, whenever I go anywhere now I always throw my bike on the carrier and take it with me. While visiting the in-laws, nothing can waste an afternoon like taking your bike out.

OK, ask yourself what your main riding style is? Fireroads, single track, all around, in town and dirt.... The KLX does everything well, nothing awesome. If you are looking for a woods bike that is street legal there are better options. If you are looking for a bike you can ride to your buddies, or go to dinner, ride all day, hit some pretty nasty single track, go down some sweet fire roads this is your bike. It doesnt have the most power, but i have had mine since beginning of 2006 and still love it. I have ridden many other Dual Sports. This bike is the best true Dual Sport IMO. Does everything pretty good, but doesnt excel in one area.

Thanks for all the feedback guys. I just got back from the DMV with my motorcycle permit in hand. It's been probably 20+ years since I rode. In my late teens / early twenties I had a Ninja 250 and later a CBR600. I'm looking forward to getting back out there.

The 250s is the best bike i have ever owned. Yea it wasnt nearly as fast as my 01 6r and my 05 636r BUT the 250 is way more fun. Take it on the street, then take it off road. Lots of mods to do to it and the aftermarket has lots for it. You wont be disappointed.
