I have been haveing a terrible time trying to post pictures in a post. What has changed?
Somebody help!!

 

Ya gotta click that little pic box. then another window pops up and all you put in there is the location of the pic... no [img] or anything

 

If you are doing a single pic and just want to put a clickable thumbnail image into the message, you can use the "click here to upload" link at the bottom of the text entry window. I have done that once and I also clicked the "embed picture in post" box. I am not sure what happens if you don't click that.

For pictures that you have hosted somewhere like photobucket, you click the little yellow icon with the image of the mountain above the text entry field. That brings up a little dialog box where you paste the path of the image from photobucket (or whatever host you use). When you click "okay" in that window, your pic will be placed into the text. It also automatically resized it for you, which is nice.

It's pretty straightforward once you have done it once or twice, but at first it is not quite as intuitive as it used to be.

There might be another problem. When I click the picture icon, my toolbar comes up with something to do with active X or something and you have to click on it to allow then it seems to work, but with my machine I have to do it every time. Who knows why.

 

that's the control that allows the forum to access personal information on your computer and then sell it to others.
