RE: Thanks to BMWHD

Back when I got my '06, I went to the Dennis Kirk Website to order a 13-toothJT sprocket. According to the website, it showed that the one made for the KLX300 would fit our bikes. I however remembered BMWHD stating that it will NOT fit and to order the one made for the Honda XR650L. That is what I did and it fits perfectly. I don't know how you know these things but you certainly saved me a lot of headache. Thank you BMWHD.

BTW, anyone looking to do the -1 tooth on the front sprocket, do it! I used the JT sprocket and all I can tell you is that the bike feels so much more "right" with it. I do a lot of highway at 70 mph + and even at those speeds, the bike feels better. I was concerned about the extra noise from the undamped aftermarket sprocket but I don't hear any new noises. Also the extra rev was a concern but like I said, even at 70+ mph, the bike actually feels better and more "right" with the extra revs.
