Default Tax refunds!

I just filed my taxes for 2008 and it turns out that after paying off some debt I'll have around $1300 for KLX upgrades (if I choose to spend it on bike stuff).

I was thinking of the bill blue 331 big bore kit however my friend gave me some pretty good advice saying I should just save the money for a bigger bike. Whatever I choose, that's always an option. I would just like to work on the bike for half the fun, and have the increased power.

If not the big bore, I was looking into converting my KLX to supermoto. I think my bike would like sick with a supermoto conversion, but that gets pricey.

What is everyone going to upgrade this year with their return?

Tax return.. I keep hearing to expect an i.o.u. from the state of Kalifornia.

I still haven't received my stimulus check! The IRS letter said to wait until April to expect anything... WTF

And the advice on the bigger bike is a good one or just buy a second one.

hmmm, I will second that get a new bike opinion.. Or the 351cc kit.. 331 is just old news now... lol
Think of the KLX value, then add the 1300 to that. THEN look and see what you can get for that $.
Drop the bike model year a couple, and you can get what you've alwayse wanted!! haha
KLX is a awsome starter bike, there's just lots more to be had, and the 1300 spent on the bike, will not come out. A bike completly stock, is worth just as much if not more sometimes than the same one with lots of money in mods.

My wife's income doubled this year, not sure what that's gonna do for our return. Still waiting for information from Countrywide, but I have a feeling we are only going get around $1000.00 this year. But then again I talk to people all the time that owe every year. I would rather get something back at the end of the year than owe a single dollar.

Probably only have money for some handlebars after I catch up on some bills.

The reality of the current economic situation suggests that everyone of us will be paying far more next year and the years that follow. I think I'm going to end up adjusting my tax withholdings so I don't get slammed with a bill that is hard to pay next year.

Property taxes, state income taxes, and federal taxes all are going up faster then our annual raises so, those of us that still have jobs are going to feel the pain. Unfortunately, a lot of us won't be paying taxes due to job loss .

As long as I can afford the house I live in and have a salary that causes me to pay taxes, I'll consider myself a luck man.
