Lauren, You do wonderful write ups and the photography is excellent! Thanks for taking the time to sumit your project.

Now, tell us what you have intentions of storing in that case?

(P.S.: I also have the same turn signals that you have.)

What am I going to put in the case?
I can put two (22oz)MSR Fuel Bottles inside.
I like having a waterproof/dustproof container on my bike for cell phones or whatever.
I like being able to throw my purse inside easily.
I can put a first aid kit inside.
I can put a rain jacket inside.
I have a foam lined case for a camera if I want to take one.
It's a convienient little trunk.
I have a place for my registration that will not get wet or dirty.
I can put some food/drinks in there too.

Of course I can't do all the above at the same time.

nice mounting .....looks good.I did the free rubber coated clamp method for my pelican case (parts from work)...will they still warranty the case if mounted that way?? I know Pelican will as long as you use the mounting bosses underneath and seal them with silicone.

Very nice install! The only thing that prevented me from having any sort of non break-away pack on my rear rack is it can pin you to the bike in a spill. It can also add as another object that can cause injury in a fall. After riding mx for over 10-years I still like the idea of a "clean" tail on my bike.

I hear you on that one KC. I took a pretty good spill on my XR650L last year, it had a soft rear pack only attached by velcro. It was the first thing my back when into when I went down - if it hadn't detached I would have been a meatsicle!

I hear ya.
I suppose it's always a risk having something on the back that is *hard* attached.
I can totally understand if I was doing jumps and MX sort of things...in those cases, I probably would take the whole rack off.
