No those are mirrors. The Ducati Hypermotard has built in mirrors that swing out from the handguards. When not needed, they fold in to complete the handguard.

Here is an overhead view of it.

Wait I just thought of something, that would make a nice desktop, hang on I gotta save it.
Yeah Xaus is extremely skilled and kocky hence the physics defying cornering. If it wasn't forhis thumbs up, one would think that this shot was taken a split second before a crash. He did this on practically every corner screeching the ultra sticky rubber with smoke coming out of it blowing by all the other motojournalist at the Hypermotard launch showing them up. [8D]

Sorry for the overblown shot on your threadgerrynolan, I didn't realize the file was so high resolution. But it does make a great desktop......

Ok I just thought of something, why can't we get those hand guards and built in mirrors? Those would be the best ones yet. Man they look sick, (I think sick means really good right?) I suppose for $20,000 for the hand guards they will throw in the bike for free right?[8D] Oh and thanks for the high res picture, its already saved on my desktop at home, and I might have to save it here at work as well. Man that thing is sweet. Seeing that bike really makes me re-think my need for a road bike. Can you buy that bike like that? I mean the stock version? Love it, love it, love it.

Hmmmm $14,000, not bad I guess. OK let's start taking up a collection for this bike so I can take possession before summer is over.

You can get the non-S version for $11,495. You lose the Ohlin shock, the lighter wheels, Ni coating on the forks, ultra sticky Pirellisand a few carbon fiber bits. Otherwise it's the same bike. This bike is an absolute wheelie monster.

EDIT: I forgot. You also lose the monobloc Brembos. They actually say those are an overkill for the street.....unless you want to do monster stoppies.

Deej, they might run you off the ADVRider site with that thing. Get a used KLR650 and let's do a trip down to Tierra Del Fuego, I'll pay for the gas and the tasty roasted guinea pig in Peru.
