I got a stock header and it makes more torque then the one on my lawn mower but I could care less.
What I need is more speed.
On your bike or your lawn mower? I'm confused.

I think he's saying basically he dosn't care about the header... Just wants more speed..I think KLX 250 is the wrong bike.

Actually, I prefer my mowers to have more top speed, because I hate cutting grass.

I don't miss what little you lose on the low end.

Hmm, the way I ride, I like to tractor over boulders and roots, knowing that even if I drop the revs down below 2000, I can still crack the throttle open and the bike will toot along without a sputter.

How's this sound, start with a Muzzy Slipon, and if it turns out that I don't care about losing barely any low end, then I can allways upgrade the header with one from FSW later on down the road.

Thoughts?

You cant get just a muzzy slip on, they dont make one, you would have to get the whole muzzy system. Unless you got a 300 header and a slip on for a 300.... if i were to do it all over, and especially now that there is more than 2 exhaust options, id just get a slip on Two Bros probably.... jmo.

I got the klx250 for reasons other than speed. A stock header with a 2brothers pipe the carby mod and proper jetting has made me very happy so far, the kawi mechanic I was dealing with used to race the klx250 in the early days and he didnt seem to think there was anything wrong with the stock header pipe. The gains from the after market pipe dont seem to warrant the $150 - 200 it will cost, the money would be better sent on suspension mods imo.

Oh really? It’ll go faster than the posted speed limit on the Interstate.

You uhh replying to my posts with derogotory remarks for any particular reason?
