The stock fuel filter.
Well when i added the inline fuel filter someone on here informed me that there already was one in the carb gas inlet so while i had the carb off i decided to find it.... and here are some pics of my bike right before it ran no more.......

gas inlet in carb and where the fuel filter is...

WOW that is tiny!! Now i'm really glad i have a "proper" filter inline before that pathetic filter. I can imagine a small piece of rubbish will block the fuel supply totally.

Hey EMS, you are a real trooper, your bike is down.....AGAIN!! and you're still helping us out. I would be pouting if I had your bike, but not you, you are the best.
Of course I guess if my bike was always broke down I could just ride the wife's XT 225, but I would like to think I would still be here helping people out even if I was not having the best of luck with my bike. Thanks again man.[sm=smiley20.gif] I'm going to get that little filter out of there and clean it, and also add an in-line filter. Thanks for the reminder, I was going to do this a long time ago. Now I have no excuse.

Eric,
That cone shaped plastic see thru fuel filter looks exactly like the one I put on My 1946 Whizzer bike and the seam opened up after only a couple months of use. I only ride the Whizzer about twice a month too...
Don't know if the one I had was defective or not? But I am reluctant to trust another.
