It still works!!!
So my bike has been sitting for like 5 months. I haven't started it but I kept it on the battery maintainer one or two days a week, switching back and forth between my bike and the wife's. Anyway, when I last rode it (I think last September) I ran the gas out. I pulled the bike out yesterday, turned on the gas and pulled the choke. It was running in less than 5 seconds!!! I then let it warm up for a minute and off I went. Man it felt good to be riding that again. Oh yeah and I had to get the license renewed, and in Washington State every 7 years you have to get a new plate....what a rip off, anyway, I can't believe its been 7 years since I picked up the bike from the shop...and actually its been 8, since I let the license expire and I should have got it renewed back in November. But it felt good to be riding again.
I even took the 1300 for a spin, man that was also a blast....the wife's bike has expired tabs, and so I need to wait till July to get them otherwise if I renew them now, I'll just have to get to get them again in July. The lady at the office said you have to wait a year and a day. So many bikes so little time..and money. LOL

Yeah, it's probably all just a contrived story. I'll bet it's still sitting in his garage with a plugged pilot jet...dead battery...sour fuel...a dead cam chain tensioner...flat tires...and an undrilled starter jet.
