Steering Problem
It seems that the steering is not very responsive with the front tire in the air! Came off a small hill on the trail on Sunday and couldn't get the front end down before trying to take out an oak tree. Not much damage to the bike but I'm nursing a cracked rib and a bad scrape on my forearm. But you should see the tree; it lost more bark than me.
I once broke a collar bone when I was younger in a similar fashion on my KX80.
A hill had previously bested my tame two stroke and this time I thought I'd hit it faster... well faster put me right in that little 80cc two stroke's extreme powerband and it was like light switch.
I flew up the hill and suffice it to say, airbrakes don't exist on motorbikes. Broke my wrist, hairline fracture on my collar bone and bruised the bone on my leg.
Adrenalin is a funny thing, I picked up the bike (for some reason this was a priority to me at the time) with my broken wrist. It wasn't until I sat down on my helmet and waited for my dad to notice I wasn't following him anymore that my leg, arm and shoulder seized up, that I noticed how badly it hurt.

At least it'll only hurt when you laugh.
The ribs suck...fractured a few through the years from mtn biking, snowboarding, and paddling white water. Good news is you'll feel better soon.
The KLX is a tough little bike.
Glad you are both OK.
Thanks for the rear brake! It's working great.
