Default Stealth Exhaust

In RI their is no legal riding areas so all of the spots I ride I have to be Stealth. Is there and aftermarket exhaust that will be as Stealth as stock but I will get more torque and hp from.

I don't believe there is an aftermarket exhaust that is that quiet. You would probabley have to fit a muffler off another bike that is quiet and make it fit by adding brackets and add adapters. I would love to see someone do this. It would be great to not here all that noise. If it looked good I would consider doing it.

Stock is the stealthiest. HMF claims to be the same as stock or close to it, but I have never heard and am pretty skeptical about the claim.

I've got an exhaust that may be as quiet as the stock KLX, but it's on the 1978 Honda Express I rode when I was 7.

Or you could always do what the Cedar thieves are doing and run a garden hose from the pipe to a bucket of water, makes it almost silent. That way if someone is driving by 30 feet from them nobody can hear anything. Of course I don't know if hanging a 5 gal bucket of water on the bike is going to work though.

My HMF is pretty loud. I would just drill out the stock exhaust (drill through two baffles in the muffler using a 3/8" or 1/2" - 12" long drill bit). I did it when I first got my KLX. I also put the KDX snorkel on and rejetted it slightly lower then what I now have with the HMF slip-on - it might give you what you're looking for.

I was referring to the HMF with the quiet core insert.
