Default Sprockets

Hey guys just went out with a couple of mates with wr's and everytime i got to a rut or rock the bike didnt seem to have enough ***** to blip the front wheel over and they all laughed everytime.
Just wondering do i change rear sprocket size up or down to get extra low down power.
Doing mainly trail enduro stuff not much blacktop at all.
Any help would be appreciated.
Cheers.

Start out by going down one tooth in the front. Do a search here , there are LOTS of comments on gearing.

I've been running a 13 and now I went to a 44 in the rear to give it just a little more. We'll find out how it works when the snow melts.

Smaller front, bigger back. 13/46 isn't too low for an off road bike. On road it will top out at 70mph or a little less running it's guts out.

I'm using 14/47. Sixth gear now seems like 5th in stock gearing.

I know its low, but I'm running 13/49 and its pretty comparable to the other two I ride with on XRs and fits the bill for the rides we've been on. Haven't had a chance to spend much time in 5th, let alone 6th... Also have a 15 for higher-speed riding and also the stock 14 if a tweener makes sense some reason.
