Go here and use the calcualtor http://www.moto-pro.com/mybike.asp
I think the calculator said I should get 42kg springs. I bought some un-used 44's from a member on here, and they are great.

is there a specific type/size spring to fit my bike (99 klx 250) or are all of the springs universal?

They are not universal.
You will need bike-specific springs.

That's a great calculator, BTW.
The other ones I've used all recommend front springs that were way too stiff for me.
Thanks for the link.

That doesn't seem right. I'm 85 KG too and the spring weight for enduro should be .42 or .44. Got something wrong there!

36 = too weak. For reference I weigh 175lb, (google says thats 79kg). As I said above, I like the .44kg springs.

If you input 85 lbs in the calculator, it comes up as .36.

round 2 came up a bit better.

recommends 0.42 springs, i have herd that it is recommended to go up on the gauge, is that true?

i assume the 0.42 is also for the rear?

thanks for your help, i was wondering why i couldn't find any o.36 springs
