I might have a look out that way.
We ride often around Mt Dale.
This pick is very near the top.

Lookin' into doing a round trip out that way soon. Mundaring Weir Hotel, Reservoir Rd, Hairpin Bend Rd, back via the powerlines. Should be a nice round trip with a cold beer and a log fire at the MWH when I finish.

Mt Cooke is about 60 km along the power lines from MWH. I made a side trip to Jarrahdale to fill up with gas and the "Jarrahburger" and headed back the same way I came . Fun all the same.

I know the area very well.
There are some awesome tracks that go around the back of Mt Dale.
You might find some of it closed off to all vehicles, registered or otherwise.
In particular, Reservoir Rd.
There is now a 2km exclusion zone around Mundaring Weir.
We got stopped by rangers about 9 months ago and given a warning.
He was nice enough to give us a brochure.

And there are a some tracks closed near Mt Dale due to die back as well.

Thanks for the info. I don't like fines. I'll map another route.

Ashenden Rd to the south or Firewood Rd to the North I'm pretty sure are still open.
And it still keeps you close to the pub.

Firewood is a better ride and just head south at say Nockine Rd.
That will keep you out of trouble.
