Yeah I saw that on advrider - that's just plain nuts. I think he said is was like a 1000 foot drop on the left and over 80 ft into the hole in the middle. No thanks! If you notice, it looks like he goes airborne about halfway around the bowl. That's total commitment right there, one slip and you're dead. Screw that!

Good grief! I didn't watch the movie yet (I'm at work), but the pics are incredible. There are very few pictures that actually give you that feeling in your stomach like you are going down a steep roller coaster. That pic qualifies.
It reminds me of a video I have seen of a guy solo rock climbing. By "solo" I mean no ropes, no partner, just him and the rock. - and he is every bit as high up as the guy in theMoab pics. If you have seen the beginning of Mission Impossible 2 (I think) with Tom Cruise - that's what I am talking about, but in real life. As a rock climber myself, I understand the dangers of climbing even with ropes. If you have ever done it, you know that even though you trust the gear, sometimes your mind plays tricks on you and you have those little "freak out" moments. With a healthy appreciation of this feeling, it was almost physically painful to watch someone do it without ropes. Truly irresponsible, but you can't help but watch.
This dude in Moab is the same deal.

I don't even like being on a 16ft ladder, that guy is crazy.[sm=insomnia.gif] I mean even if it was only a 50ft drop on each side I wouldn't' do it. MAN!!! I just got one of those all over body shivers.
