Default slip-ons and pistons??

If I buy a slip on exhaust will i have to mess with the pistons, my mother insists that i must do this or it will ruin the bike or any other machine....
What goes into a slip-on installation exactly?? is it what the name implies??also could I get like an 08 exhaust for my 09 and have it mesh nicely?

hey 09, your doug right? the kid i went riding with the other day? just come over to my house and we can take apart my full muzzy and see if she fits... it looks like it would fit just fine, you might have to shave the passanger foot pegs and thoes new little guards that they put on for the passangers foot. the only thing you should change is your jetting if your going with a topless box (hehehe, the best kind) or a bigger snorkle... we can do a side by side comparison of parts next time your around. and if the hangers are the only problem i know of a killer customs shop down the road that hooked me up with a better can mount (my stocker broke off) We will have that thing all modded up in no time, just need some better weather, this rain is killin me!

Nah, the muzzy fits the '09 bike just fine. The frame didn't change a bit as far as exhaust mounts are concerned.
