Default Slip on exhaust comparison

New to the site, just purchased 2009 KLX 250S and was wondering if any previous discussions covered the differences between HMF, FMF, Two Bros and Muzzy slip-on to help me decide which is the best product is for the money. Cost, power increase, maintenance, and longevity are very important concerns.

Don't know what the best performer is but at $260 delivered my FMF was the cheapist I found new.

Also important is sound level. All are much louder than the stock sewing machine muffler but the FMF with Q-core insert is said to be the quietest.

All of them are the same, or nearly so, as far as power gained. The things you will need to decide are noise level, looks, and price. Those three things Will vary between mufflers.
Search on here and you will find tons of muffler info.

I agree. When I heard the name "Muzzy", I had to have one. I mean...who could resist such a cool name.

On a serious note, I think the head pipe on the 250 sucks.

The head pipe is probably my next upgrage, one of the FMF deals with the little expansion chamber in it. Once installed I'll post the results as I've got some time in on it now with the slip-on and the jetting so I sould be able to tell the kind of changes it brings. The slip-on alone was a pretty good change for this bike IMHO.
