Question on skid plates. Do they needed to be removed when you change the oil or is there a hole big enough to get a socket in there?
|
mine has a hole there....
|
Utah/Ricochet/Moose has a hole. Cut one if there isn't. You don't want to be removing the plate with every oil change.
|
If there's no hole, it wasn't a very well designed skidplate... My Ricochet has a hole.

Oil Drain
The Scorpion has a hole for an oil change but I have not tried it yet.

There's always the stock one...
You really won't find cheaper, or better quality than the Ricochet plates... I got mine directly from their website. They are very well made and come with all the mounting hardware. Made good sense to support a local manufacturer too... |

I went with the Scorpion. Thanks to whoever posted the coupon code. With the 20% off and free shipping it made it close to the cost of the other plates. Just need to get something on there - beed riding some rocky/rough single track around here and don't want to have a any issues. I will follow-up when it gets here and I get it installed.
